Choosing the Right Business Location for GeoMine

Your GeoMine geofence is the small virtual circle around your business where customers can earn GM Points. Here's how it works today and what to consider when you list.

The Geofence Is Auto-Set to 25 Meters

To keep the system tight and prevent abuse from neighboring sidewalks, parking lots, or adjacent storefronts, every GeoMine business gets a default 25-meter geofence, centered on your registered address. There's no slider, no self-service radius tool — and that's intentional.

A 25m circle reliably covers a typical café, retail shop, gym studio, salon, or restaurant interior while filtering out drive-bys and people just passing through.

Need a Different Radius?

If your physical footprint genuinely doesn't fit a 25m circle (large-format retail, multi-tenant venue, anchor restaurant with patio seating, mall presence, etc.), email support during the admin review of your listing and we can adjust the radius for you. Custom radii are reviewed case by case to keep the network honest.

What to Think About When Listing

1. Use your real, customer-facing address. The geofence centers on the address you register. If your front door isn't where customers actually walk in, switch to whichever entrance they use.

2. Pick your highest-traffic location first. If you have multiple locations, start with the one customers visit most. You can list additional locations later under the same business account.

3. Choose hours that match your real openings. Mining is most active when your business is actually open and customers are inside. Make sure your listed hours match reality so the analytics stay clean.

4. Pick the right tier. Higher tiers raise the per-spot daily cap (Bronze 10 GM, Silver 20 GM, Gold 30 GM, Enterprise 50 GM), making your location more attractive to serious miners.

Testing Your Listing

After your listing goes live, install GeoMine on your own phone, walk into your store, and confirm the "Start Mining" button appears. If GPS struggles deep inside your building (common in basement spaces or buildings with thick concrete), email support — that's exactly the kind of case where a custom radius helps.
